Phyllodactylus tuberculosus Wiegmann 1834 , 241. More than one species seems to be involved in this geographically widespread nominal form. Honduran specimens are considerably smaller than are those from western Mexico (Michoacán to Chiapas). The type locality of P. tuberculosus was restricted to Nicaragua by Dixon (1960).
