Paramblynotus metatarsis He, 2004 , Hymenopteran insect fauna of Zhejiang, 89.
Material examined: The type specimens are deposited in Institute of Insect Sciences of Zhejiang University: 2 female and 1 male , 1 female (Holotype), CHINA, Zhejiang, Kaihua, Gutian mountain, 1990. VII-VIII, Ma Yun ; 1 male (Paratype), CHINA, Zhejiang Quzhou, 1984.VII. He Junhua , 1 female, CHINA, Zhejiang, Anji, Longwang Mountain , 1983. VIII.31, Chen Xuexin. Additional specimens are deposited in Zhejiang A & F University : 10 females: 1 female CHINA, Zhejiang, Lin’an, Qingliangfeng , 2005. VIII.12 (Hong-Ying Zhang) ; 9 females, CHINA, Liaoning, Haichengshi, Chagouzhen, Hongqicun , 2015. VIII.3 (Tian-Lin Chen).
Description. FEMALE. Body length 5.9–7.3 mm. Antenna 13-segmented, flagellum filiform. Wings ( Fig. 45 View FIGURES 41–48 ). Rs+M of fore wing arising from anterior ¼ of basal vein. Marginal cell 4.2 times as long as wide and 1.3 times as long as submarginal cell.
Coloration. Body entirely black except tarsi of fore and middle legs yellow brown. Wings tinted slightly ferruginous, darkened along veins. Body pubescence golden.
Head ( Figs. 41–42 View FIGURES 41–48 ). Vertex foveate-reticulate. Eye extended laterally beyond outer margin of gena. Ocellar plate slightly raised, foveate-rugose and defined laterally by superficial carina, with irregular large foveae lined along sides. Median frontal carina distinctly raised into keel between antennal sockets and mostly present in ventral frons. Dorsal frons rugose-foveate/punctate laterally; antennal scrobe distinctly depressed and glabrous with sparse punctures, defined laterally by very weak carina. Gena glabrous and superficially foveate with sparse, appressed pubescence; ventral frons and clypeus glabrate and densely punctate/foveate with appressed pubescence; anterior tentorial pits small and distinct; clypeo-pleurostomal sulcus, epistomal sulcus forming superficial, smoothly curved arch. Lateral occipital carina not reaching vertex. Occiput longitudinally carinate medially and glabrous laterally.
Mesosoma ( Figs. 43–44 View FIGURES 41–48 ). Anterior plate of pronotum glabrate and densely punctate with appressed pubescence. Pronotum raised dorsomedially; pronotal crest gradually raised medially into a peak distinctly higher than mesoscutum. Lateral pronotal carinae distinct, dorsally not reaching pronotal crest. Lateral surface of pronotum foveate-reticulate with sparse pubescence. Dorsal pronotal area glabrate, present along anterior one-fifth of posterior margin of pronotum. Mesoscutum flat dorsally, transversely costate with superficial foveae set in rows. Scutellar sulcus subdivided by a median carina and several additional superficial longitudinal carinae; axillar area distinctly pubescent. Mesoscutellum foveate-reticulate, posterior margin rounded in dorsal view. Mesopleural triangle conspicuously pubescent and well defined ventrally by smoothly curved carina. Median mesopleural impression percurrent and glabrous. Upper mesopleuron glabrous with short pubescence anteriorly; lower mesopleuron glabrous with dense pubescence in ventral impression. Metepisternum areolate in dorsal part, conspicuously pubescent ventrally. Lateral propodeal carinae percurrent, strongly curved laterally and distinctly raised dorsomedially, forming a broadly rounded process with sparse dorsal pubescence; median propodeal area glabrate; median longitudinal carina present anterior to median transverse carina and absent posteriorly.
Petiole 0.39 times as long as wide in lateral view. Tergum 8 not exposed; relative length of T3–7: 1.6:1.0:1.0:2.3:1.2; T3 glabrous; T4 and T5 densely, finely punctate; T6 and T7 finely punctate, each with a middle row of pubescence dorsolaterally. Apical teeth of metatibia slender and pointed apically. Metatibia with three relatively weak teeth dorsally. Length of 1 st metatarsomere 0.66 times combined length of 2–5mt.
Distribution. China: Zhejiang (Oriental region); Liaoning (Palearctic region). The disjunct distribution (more than 1000 km between known areas) suggests this species may also be found in other provinces of eastern China, such as Anhui, Jiangxi, Jiangsu and Shandong.
