Papilio Eques Achivus cresphontes, Stoll, 1782b: 3 [No. 36].

Material examined. 1 ♂ with printed Felder label ‘ Cresphontes Cram. ’ ( BMNH (E)# 665119), but no other data is a fair match for original plate 133, fig. A; it has been re-pinned twice. There is insufficient evidence to regard this as a type specimen .

Current status. Valid species in Papilio (Heraclides) ( Häuser et al., 2003) .

Papilio Eques Achivus deiphobus, Stoll, 1782b: 2 [No. 1].

Material examined. 1 ♂ with van Lennep label ‘ No. 1. DEIPHOBUS [on same line as No.1]. Cramer.II.181. A.B. ’ ( BMNH (E)#665047) is not a good match for original plate 150, figs A, A, because the underside markings are all yellow instead of red (as in ab. flava Oberthür); the specimen has been re-pinned and the wings have been repaired. It is possible that the labels have become misassociated, because there are other Felder collection specimens that match the figure rather better .

Identity. Papilio (Menelaides) deiphobus Linnaeus, 1758 .
