Discussion. This species is similar to P. x i be i and P. m a c ul o pl eu r i t a, and may be distinguished as follows ( P. xibei and P. maculopleurita in parentheses): apex of median mesoscutal lobe with a white arrow-shaped spot, lateral part completely black (apex of median mesoscutal lobe without white arrow-shaped spot, lateral part anteriorly white); mesoscutellum, mesoscutellar appendage and metascutellum white (mesoscutellum black, or medially with white spots, mesoscutellar appendage and metascutellum completely black); mesepisternum completely black (lower part of mesepisternum with white stripes); upper part of hind coxa with a large brown spot (hind coxa black or white, without brown). Except for the gonoforceps and penis valve, reliable morphological differences between these three species were not found.
