Comment. The above specimens represent the first records since the original description, which is based on a single holotype female from Muġla province. The species is widespread and not uncommon in southern Anatolia from Aydın in the west to Adıyaman in the east ( Fig. 33 View FIGURE 33 ). Remarkably, the specimens from all regions, except Adıyaman, are exclusively females. The material from Adıyaman, in contrast, is composed of both sexes with males even forming the majority. Whether or not they are really conspecific with the other populations can be decided only when males from more western provinces become available; constant differences in external characters and in the shape of the spermatheca were not found. Unlike O. alternans , O. turcica is apparently not fungicolous, but an inhabitant of leaf litter.
