Lectotype (Stirton in Turland & Jarvis in Taxon 46: 480. 1997): Tulbagh 38, Herb. Linn. No. 928.6 ( LINN) .

Current name: Otholobium spicatum (L.) C.H. Stirt. ( Fabaceae : Faboideae ).

Note: Unaware that relevant original material was in existence, Stirton (in S. African J. Bot. 52: 4. 1986) designated a neotype. However, he subsequently corrected this error, designating material in LINN as lectotype instead.
