Psoralea hirta Linnaeus , Plantae Rariores Africanae: 15. 1760.

Lectotype (Stirton in Turland & Jarvis in Taxon 46: 479. 1997): Oldenland, Herb. Burman, sheet annotated "collect. 1695" ( G) .

Current name: Otholobium hirtum (L.) C.H. Stirt. ( Fabaceae : Faboideae ).

Note: Unaware that relevant original material was in existence, Stirton (in S. African J. Bot. 52: 3. 1986) designated a neotype. However, he subsequently corrected this error, designating material in the Burman herbarium (G) as lectotype instead.
