Tuarega Uvarov, 1943 a, Proc. Linn. Soc. Land. 1941–2: 69–85. Type-species: Oedipoda insignis Lucas, 1851 .
Diagnosis: Male genitalia: supra-anal plate elongate-angular, cercus simple narrow, incurved; epiphallus with excurved posterior margin, small ancorae and two clusters of small teeth. Female genitalia: supra-anal plate obtuse angular, slightly longer than wide, cercus simple, short (fig. 5A); posterior margin of female subgenital plate slightly concave, serrated, setose laterally, Jannone's organs absent, egg-guide short (fig. 5B); spermatheca with apical part long, curved and tubular (fig. 5C); ovipositor (fig. 5D) valves elongate, slender, acute, curved and with large external, lateral projection, mesial tooth absent..
This genus is represented by a single species from Fezzan.
