Type material. Holotype, male, 3.25 mm, dissected, 4 slides, AM P.90056; paratypes, 2 juvenile specimens, AM P.90057, near shore, western side of Hawkesbury Island, Torres Strait, Queensland (10°21'44"S 142°07'04"E), 8 m, soft sediment, 1 October, 2006, coll. J.K. Lowry & M. Capa, MV Madame Dugong (QLD 1900).
Type locality. Hawkesbury Island, Torres Strait, Queensland, Australia.
Etymology. Named for Tony Titasey skipper of the MV Madame Dugong.
Diagnosis. Antenna 1 article 2 geniculate with article 1. Gnathopod 2 propodus subovoid, posterior margin densely setose, propodus palm acute, not distinct from posterior margin, palm with 7 robust setae, distal shelf weak, not produced; dactylus long, 0.5 times length of the propodus. Pereopods 5–7 distally slender, length subequal. Pereopod 5 basis posterior margin straight. Pereopod 6 basis posterior margin tapering.
Pleonites 1–2 with dorsodistal spine. Epimera 1–3 posterior margin straight, corner with small acute tooth. Uropod 1 inner ramus shorter than peduncle length. Uropod 3 inner ramus length 0.5 times outer ramus.
Description. Based on holotype male, 3.25 mm, AM P.90056.
Head lateral cephalic lobe apically acute with anteroventral slit; anteroventral corner rounded. Eyes poorly developed, ommatidia separated. Antenna 1 longer than antenna 2; peduncular article 1 longer than article 2; article 2 geniculate with article 1, longer than article 3, primary flagellum with 11 articles; accessory flagellum 3- articulate. Antenna 2 peduncular article 2 produced dorsodistally; flagellum with 7 articles. Mandible molar welldeveloped triturative; accessory setal row with 9 setae; palp article 1 twice as long as broad; article 3 linear, shorter in length than article 2.
Pereon. Gnathopod 1 merus posterodistal corner acute; carpus 1.2 times as long as propodus; propodus palm defined by corner with 2 setae (bifurcation not observed). Gnathopod 2 merus acutely produced distoventrally; carpus as long as broad, lobate, projecting between merus and propodus; propodus subovoid, facial surface with dense slender setae proximally, posterior margin weakly convex, propodus palm acute with 5 robust setae, distal shelf weak, not produced with 2 robust setae; dactylus long, 0.5 times length of the propodus. Pereopod 3 coxa similar in length to coxa 2. Pereopod 4 coxa posteroventral lobe well-developed, subquadrate. Pereopods 5–7 distally slender, length subequal; basis posterior margin castellate. Pereopod 5 basis posterior margin straight. Pereopod 6 basis posterior margin tapering. Pereopod 7 basis posterior margin convex.
Pleon. Pleonite 1–2 with dorsodistal spine. Epimera 1–3 posterior margin straight, corner with small acute tooth. Urosomite 1 without carina. Uropod 1 peduncle without basofacial robust seta; inner ramus subequal to outer ramus length, shorter than peduncle length. Uropod 2 inner ramus subequal to outer ramus length, subequal to peduncle length. Uropod 3 inner ramus reduced, length subequal to breadth, 0.5 times outer ramus; outer ramus 2- articulate; article 1 length twice breadth, with 1 lateral robust seta; article 2 minute, as broad as long. Telson unknown.
