Nomia (Acunomia) howardi Crawford, 1911 View in CoL

[ Holotype: USNM; ♀ San José de Guaymas , Sonora, Mexico; April 10, 1898]

Nomia howardi is found in the deserts of the southwestern USA and northwestern Mexico. We examined three males collected in the Gulf Coast in Bahia Las Animas in May 1921 ( CASC). Additionally, the BBPT collected this species in the Lower Colorado Desert in April (2 ♂), May (1 ♀), and June (♀ 2) 2021. Voucher specimens are in MABC, and ECOAB. See fig. 188 .
