( Fig. 7c View FIGURE 7 )
Distribution: GAM, BEN, GBI, GUI, RCI, TOG.
Distribution in Guinea-Bissau (Administrative Regions): 2) QUN.
Historic records: none.
Material examined: Cantanha (P.N. L. Cufada) (11º 42´08.31´´ N, 15º 02´02.79´´ W, 18 m alt.) (QUN), 18.VII.2009, 1 ♂, DO, A. Serrano leg., ASC GoogleMaps .
Remarks. The species is distributed throughout West Africa ( Antoine 1997b; Schoolmeesters 2019). Like other representatives of Valgini , which are flower visitors, the Cantanha adult specimen was captured on a yellow flower of an herbaceous plant (not identified). Biological and ecological data are not available for this species. The reference to Guinea-Bissau in the Catalog of Life for this species is an error (Schoolmeesters, personal communication). It is a new genus/species record for Guinea-Bissau.
