Type material. SMF 143/9, ♂ holotype, examined.
Type locality. BOLIVIA, Santa Cruz State, Chiquitos Province, Otuquis River—inFormation oF the label. The original description reports : BOLIVIA, Chaco ( Otuquis valley ) .
Geographical distribution ( Fig. 14 View FIGURE 14 ): Only known From the type locality.
Diagnosis. Resembles M. tibialis in having two large apophyses with pointed apex on ventral region oF tibia IV ( Figs 7 View FIGURE 7 E, 8I). M. adunca is distinguished From M. tibialis by cheliceral bulla with one retroapical tubercle ( Fig. 1 View FIGURE 1 A) ( M. tibialis has two tubercles united at the base, Fig. 2 View FIGURE 2 D), Free tergite II with two high rhomboid tubercles ( Fig. 1 View FIGURE 1 A) ( M. tibialis has a row oF similar sized tubercles, Fig. 2 View FIGURE 2 D) and Femur IV with one retroapical ventral row oF six tubercles, Followed by retroapical apophysis ( Fig. 5 View FIGURE 5 E) ( M. tibialis has one high rounded tubercle on apical region, Fig. 6 View FIGURE 6 I).
Redescription. Male holotype (SMF 143/9).
Measurements: dorsal scutum, total length, 5.1; dorsal scutum total width 4.55; prosoma length 1.6; prosoma width 2.35; Femur I length 3.35; Femur II length 4.0; Femur III length 3.5; Femur IV length 4.25; pedipalpal Femur length 1.25 mm.
Coloration in ethanol: Entirely dark brown.
Dorsum ( Fig. 1 View FIGURE 1 A): Median region oF anterior margin oF dorsal scutum smooth, with small tubercles, three tubercles united at the base and with rhomboid apex on leFt halF and Four tubercles on right halF, near paracheliceral projections. Lateral margins oF dorsal scutum with rounded tubercles From area I to area IV. Ocularium with moderate median depression and six tubercles. Area IV with paramedian pair oF small pointed spines. Posterior margin oF dorsal scutum with row oF 20 tubercles. Free tergite I with row oF 26 tubercles, II with one large, rhomboid tubercle on each side, Four smaller tubercles between them and small tubercles on the lateral border, III with row oF six tubercles. Anal operculum with 24 tubercles irregularly scattered and a pair oF larger tubercles on ventral border. All tubercles oF posterior margin, Free tergites and anal operculum with rounded apex.
Chelicera ( Fig. 1 View FIGURE 1 A): Bulla with Four-Five rounded tubercles on proximal margin, the prolateral one smaller than the others, Four retrolateral apical tubercles and one proapical. Segment II with Five teeth, segment III with six teeth.
Pedipalps ( Figs 4 View FIGURE 4 A, D): Trochanter with two small dorsal tubercles and two apical ventral tubercles (one larger). Femur with eight dorsal tubercles, three apical dorsal tubercles, row oF eight ventral tubercles (median Four larger) and two small apical tubercles. Tibia with retrolateral rounded projection, dorsal setiFerous small tubercles, two apical lateral tubercles in each side and two proapical ventral spines. Tarsus elongate with Five retrolateral macrosetae.
Legs ( Figs 1 View FIGURE 1 A; 5A, E; 7A, D): Coxa I with one retrolateral tubercle smaller than prolateral one. Coxa II with prolateral tubercle with pointed apex, directed towards the apex oF coxa. Coxa III with one rounded prolateral tubercle. Coxa IV visible in dorsal view, tuberculated and with one dorso-apical apophysis. Trochanter IV with one proapical tubercle, Four small prolateral tubercles, two tubercles on retrobasal region (posterior larger and with pointed apex), two prolateral ventral apical tubercles. Femur IV curved and granulated, with retrodorsoapical row oF nine small tubercles; ventral row oF small tubercles; retroventral row oF six rounded tubercles, and one ventral long and rounded apophysis, with tubercles around its base. Tibia IV covered with small tubercles, with retrodorsal tubercles From base to apex; Four dorso-apical tubercles; a row oF Five retroventral tubercles on ventral median portion, the third and FiFth larger with pointed apex; one subapical ventral tubercle and three ventral apical tubercles. Tarsal Formula: 5 / 6 / 5 / 5.
Penis ( Figs 10 View FIGURE 10 A–C):Truncus straight. Ventral plate wide, with strong U-cleFt at distal margin; one distal pair oF ventroapical macrosetae E and two pairs oF rounded macrosetae. Dorsal surFace with Five pairs oF macrosetae, oF which two apical (macrosetae C), one dorsal (macrosetae D), one displaced towards median region (macrosetae A) and one lateral (macrosetae B).
