Synonym. Stenothorax Harris, 1827: 8 . Type species Melolontha subspinosa Fabricius , by monotypy.
Synonym. Chremastodus Solier, 1851: 103 (new synonym). Type species Chremastodus pubescens Solier , by subsequent designation ( Evans 2003: 248).
Remark. The type species of the genus Chremastodus is here transferred to the genus Macrodactylus . This places the two names in synonymy with the latter being the senior synonym.
