Remarks.
Pallary (1925) introduced Melanopsis simulata as replacement name for the presumed junior homonym Melanopsis arcuata Brusina, 1878, non Matheron, 1842. The alleged homonymy is, however, based on a reading error of Melanopsis armata Matheron, 1842 by Pallary. Therefore, Melanopsis simulata is a junior objective synonym of Melanopsis arcuata Brusina, 1897.
