Megabalanus tintinnabulum ( Linnaeus, 1758)

Persian Gulf. Jones (1986) from Kuwait; Basson et al. (1977) as Megabalanus tintinnabulum tintinnabulum ( Linnaeus, 1758) from Saudi Arabia ( Fig. 1 ).

Gulf of Oman. No record.

General distribution and habitat. Cosmopolitan; on various substrata, known as a fouling species ( Jones et al. 2000).
