Examined material. 2 an. and 10 sh. (MACN-In 40693).
Description. Shell height to 5.4 mm (up to 10 mm according to Castellanos 1967); fusiform, moderately solid. Protoconch large, smooth, of 1.75 markedly convex whorls. Teleoconch with up to 3.25 whorls, slightly convex in outline; last whorl comprising about 70% of total shell height. Suture impressed. Surface white; sculptured with 17 to 22 strong axial ribs per whorl; and low spiral cords, in number of 9 to 13 on the spire whorls and about 30 on the last whorl. Axial sculpture vanishing towards the base, and in some specimen reduced to strong growth lines in last whorls. Aperture ovate, interior white; columellar callus narrow; siphonal canal moderately short, somewhat oblique, wide.
