Etymology. This specific name is derived from Latin mimus (imitate), referring to its similarity to L. hickeri .
Remarks. Lycocerus sichuanus Y. Yang et X. Yang, 2014 , is preoccupied by L. sichuanus ( Wittmer, 1995) , originally described in Athemus . When two or more names are homonyms, only the senior name, as determined by the Principle of Priority, may be used as a valid (ICZN, 4 th ed., article 52.2), so L. sichuanus ( Wittmer, 1995) remains valid. A junior homonym must be rejected and replaced either by an available and potentially valid synonym or, for lack of such a name, by a new substitute name (ICZN, 4 th ed., article 60.1), therefore, L. hickerimimus nom. nov. is proposed here to replace L. sichuanus Y. Yang et X. Yang, 2014 .
Distribution. China (Sichuan).
