Status at New Ireland. New record, based on specimen photographed at Lissenung Island by Dietmar Amon on 14 June 2008.

Distribution and habitat. New Ireland: 2.—General distribution: Red Sea and East Africa east to Fiji and Tonga, south to Queensland ( Australia). Found on the underside of sponges or soft corals, 1–10 m depth. Marine.
