Host and locality in Australia: Nanodes australis , Australia (Trouessart 1884a, Trouessart & Mégnin 1885a), Glossopsittacus concinnus ( Nanodes australis ), Australia ( Canestrini & Kramer 1899; Favette & Trouessart 1904; Rainbow 1906; Mironov et al. 2011); Glossopsitta concinna , Australia ( Cleland 1922).

Current name of host: Musk Lorikeet, Glossopsitta concinna (Shaw, 1791) ( Psittaciformes : Psittaculidae ).

Notes: Mironov & Dabert (2007) included this species in a key as Loriprotolichus falculiger ( Favette & Trouessart 1904) comb. nov. (page 389), and re-described the same species as Loriprotolichus falculiger (Trouessart, 1884) comb. nov. (page 393). The designation of a holotype for this species by Mironov & Dabert (2007) was not valid or necessary, because the single specimen examined by Trouessart (1884) and Favette & Trouessart (1904) was already the holotype by monotypy.
