Distribution. Western Atlantic—from Haiti to Brazil (Rio Grande do Norte, Paraíba, Pernambuco, Alagoas, Sergipe, Bahia, Espírito Santo, Rio de Janeiro, São Paulo, Paraná, Santa Catarina) ( Holthuis 1960; Efford 1971; Calado 1998; Melo 1999; Boyko 2002; Felder et al. 2009).
Remarks. Lepidopa richmondi is found with higher frequency in the south part of São Paulo. Sequences accession numbers (GenBank): CCDB 3920—16S ( KP091506 View Materials ), COI ( KP091540 View Materials ).
