Holotypus: NEW CALEDONIA. Prov. Nord: 5 km E of Col de Crève-Coeur on road between Canala and Thio, c. 350 m, 27.IX.1979, McPherson 1905 ( L [ L0013386 ]!; iso-: MO [MO 260721]!, NOU [ NOU 006557 About NOU ]!, P [ P05213006 ]!).
Distribution and ecology. – Lepidocupania rosea is only known from the type specimen, collected on Grande Terre, near Nakety, in a forest around 350 m.
