Diagnose: ng um 15-20 µm; 4 kurze g, 1 ag, 2 an, 3 ad mäßig lang (bis um 20 µm); Epi-Borstenformel 3-1-3-3; Areae porosae A2 und A3 oft verschmolzen; Körperlänge 270-330 µm.
Syn., Tax.: Oribates lagenula Berlese, 1904. Protoribates l. : Sellnick 1928; Willmann 1931 (B). Lagenobates l. : Weigmann & Miko 2003.
Ökologie: Schwerpunkt in sauren Hochmooren.
Verbreitung: Holarktis.
