Male 7.5 mm long, 2.9 mm wide across humeral angles. Head with numerous small brown spots on vertex and dorsal half of frontoclypeus, vertex with pair of large black spots near margin dorsad of ocelli, frontoclypeus with pair of black transverse maculae near dorsal margin of frontoclypeus. Pronotum with numerous black punctures. Mesonotum with basolateral triangles dark brown. Forewing with numerous small black spots on basal half and large saddle-shaped transcommisural black macula near midlength, apical half smoky hyaline. Venter including legs uniformly dull stramineous ( Fig. 2 View FIGURE 2 G, H).
Male pygofer appendage broad basally, with small ventral setae, attenuate distally, extended posterad, apex curved slightly dorsad ( Fig. 18 View FIGURE 18 A). Style apophysis much longer than pygofer, curved laterad, broadest near apical third ( Fig. 18 View FIGURE 18 B). Aedeagus with acute compressed basoventral keel; dorsal process rounded and spatulate apically in ventral view ( Fig. 18 View FIGURE 18 B), subparallel to and slightly longer than gonopore-bearing shaft; gonopore-bearing shaft slender, nearly straight and parallel-sided in lateral ( Fig. 18 View FIGURE 18 E) and ventral views ( Fig. 18 View FIGURE 18 D), distal spines less than ¼ length of shaft, curved dorsad, compressed, slender, with few irregular distal teeth ( Fig. 18 View FIGURE 18 E).
Material examined. Holotype ♂, THAILAND: Kanchanaburi, Khu. Siran. NT/TourCtr., 14º38.136’N 98º59.837’E, 210m, Malaise trap, 11–18.vii.2008, Somboon & Chatchawan leg., T3432 [ QSBG].
Note. The species name refers to the large transcommisural macula on the forewing.
