Iulidesmus typicus Silvestri View in CoL
Iulidesmus typicus Silvstri, 1895 View in CoL , Ann. Mus. Stor. Nat. Genova, 34: 773. Female holotype (MCSNG), collected between Corioco and Chulumani, 1600 m. ASL, Department of La Paz, Bolivia, L. Balzan leg. 1891.
Although both Corioco and Chulumani are located amidst spectacular foothills on the east versant of the Andes, they are low enough to be included in the subtropical Yungas ecoregion, and the biota is clearly associated with that of the Paraná basin to the east. Since both towns are now readily accessible and “ecotourist-friendly”, the possibility to obtain topotypes of I. typicus View in CoL seems to present no difficulties.
