Iphiseiodes kamahorae De Leon, 1966: 84 View in CoL .
Iphiseiodes kamahorae View in CoL .— Moraes et al., 1986: 60, 2004b: 90; Aponte & McMurtry, 1995: 171; Chant & McMurtry, 2004b: 305, 2007: 98.
Specimens measured. AM (5).
Dorsal shield of female smooth to lightly reticulate, 352 (320–375) long and 300 (285–320) wide. Setal lengths: j1 12 (11–12), j3 7 (7–8), j4 2 (1–2), j5 2 (1–2), j6 2, J2 2, J5 4 (3–4), z2 2 (1–2), z4 2 (1–2), z5 2 (1–2), Z1 2 (2–3), Z4 66 (56–64), Z5 63 (57–65), s4 72 (60–75), S2 2, S4 2 (2–3), S5 3 (2–3), r3 6 (6–7) and R1 4 (4–5). Peritreme extending to midway between j1 and j3. Distances between st1–st3 38 (36–44), st2–st2 63 (60–70), st5–st5 90 (75– 93). Ventrianal shield 77 (72–80) long, 100 (95–120) wide at level of Zv2 and 88 (85–90) at anus level. With two pairs of metapodal plates. Spermathecal calyx shaped as an elongate funnel, about four times as long as diameter next to vesicle, 27 (25–32) long; atrium inconspicuous. Fixed cheliceral digit 30 (30–32) long, with ten teeth; movable digit 31 (30–34) long, with seven teeth. Macrosetae on legs I–IV, blunt, except StiIII, sharp-tipped; SgeI 25 (18–32), SgeII 22 (18–23), SgeIII 24 (22–25), SgeIV 35 (32–45), StiIII 17 (15–18), StiIV 14 (14–15) and StIV 25 .
Distribution in Brazil. Amazonas ( Nuvoloni et al., 2015b; Ferreira et al., 2018; Cruz et al., 2019).
Distribution elsewhere. Costa Rica and Guyana.
Remarks. The specimens examined in this study are distinctly larger than reported in the original description, but about as large as reported in the redescription by Aponte & McMurtry (1995). Consequently, the lengths of the dorsal shield and of the setae presented in the original description correspond roughly to the lower limits of the respective ranges determined in this study, while more similar to those of the redescription by Aponte & McMurtry (1995). An exception is StiIV, about 1.8 times longer in those than in the present study.
