Distribution. Transeurasiatic, subboreal. Volga–Don region, West Caucasian region, Middle Urals, West Siberia, Altai, southern part of Krasnoyarsky Kray, Khakassia, Republic of Buryatia, Zabaikalsky Kray, Amurskaya Oblast, Jewish Autonomous Oblast, southern part of Khabarovsky Kray, Primorye. Outside Russia in E and central Europe, Kazakhstan,? Mongolia, NE China, Korea, Japan (Honshu, Kyushu, Tsushima Isl.),
Hostplants: flaccid and dry leaves of different herbs, such as Lactuca , Taraxacum ( Beljaev 2016) .
Remarks. Female genitalia of I. nitidata illustrated in the Key to the insects of Russian Far East by Viidalepp (2005, fig. 248, 1) actually belong to I. nudaria (Christoph, 1881) .
