Diagnosis. Large Hyalopeplus (total length 9.6 mm, maximal width across hemelytra 2.6 mm). Globally “citrine to yellow with glassy hemelytra” ( Carvalho & Gross, 1979) and frequently with reddish or blackish stripes; embolium and cuneus reddish. Pronotal collar transversally striate, with seven dark brown longitudinal stripes. Pronotal callosities wide, not widely punctate. Pronotal disk transversally striate on a major part of the disk, its transversal black fascia reaching posterior margin and covering humeral angles. Humeral angles slightly pointed, not produced. Material examined. No additional specimen collected for the present work.

Distribution. Species described from Sri Lanka, but known from India (Nainital, Jeolikot), Indonesia (Java), Malaysia, and Philippines Islands ( Carvalho 1959; Schuh 2002–2013).
