Hyalopeplus rama ( Kirby, 1891)

Capsus rama Kirby, 1891: 106 – 107 (as new species). Hyalopeplus rama: Pathak 1969: 39 (citation from India in PhD); Carvalho & Gross 1979: 488 – 490 (redescription, DV, head and pronotum, MG); Schuh 1995: 679 (catalogue), 2002 – 2013 (online catalogue).

Diagnosis. Large Hyalopeplus (total length 9.6 mm, maximal width across hemelytra 2.6 mm). Globally “citrine to yellow with glassy hemelytra” ( Carvalho & Gross, 1979) and frequently with reddish or blackish stripes; embolium and cuneus reddish. Pronotal collar transversally striate, with seven dark brown longitudinal stripes. Pronotal callosities wide, not widely punctate. Pronotal disk transversally striate on a major part of the disk, its transversal black fascia reaching posterior margin and covering humeral angles. Humeral angles slightly pointed, not produced. Habitus in dorsal view Fig. 17 .

Material examined. No additional specimen collected for the present work.

Distribution. Species described from Sri Lanka, but known from India (Nainital, Jeolikot), Indonesia (Java), Malaysia, and Philippines Islands ( Carvalho 1959; Schuh 2002–2013).
