Distribution. This species is distributed in southwestern and southern China (Hainan, Yunnan), northeastern Myanmar (Shan State), and the southernmost portion of central highlands region of Vietnam (Lam Dong Prov.). New to Yunnan.

Bionomics. The specimens from Hainan were collected from one slightly rotten mushroom.

Diagnosis. The specimens agree with the original description except smaller body size and sparser sensory peg setae on underside of paramere (consistent with Li et al. 2010). These differences are considered as intraspecific variation. Among the species of the borneensis group, this species can be recognized by the conspicuous coloration and the paramere ( Fig. 37 View FIGURES 35–44 ) with rugose surface and numerous peg-setae.
