Redescription. Male. Body rather large. Vertex of head divided into conical tubercles, with acute apex. Legs elongate and slender; fore femora about 1.5 times as long as the pronotum, beneath unarmed, internal knee lobe with a small spine, genicular lobe with 1 long movable spur; fore tibiae beneath with 2 external spurs and 1 internal spur. Mid femora with a long movable spur on the internal and genicular lobe, beneath unarmed; mid tibiae beneath with a pair of spurs. Hind femora with one additional small denticle at middle of inner edge beneath; hind tibiae above on each dorsal side with 60–64 spines, arrange in groups. Epiphallus of male genitalia rectangular, lateral corium of middle lobes of male genitalia rather long and reaching apex ( Fig. 11 View FIGURE 11 ).

Female. Unknown.

Coloration. Coloration of body almost uniformly brown. Legs with pale and very weakly spotted stripes.

Measurements. (length in mm) Body ♂ 18; pronotum ♂ 6.5; fore femora ♂ 10.0; hind femora ♂ 20.0.

Material examined. 1♂, Shennongjia, Gongmenshan , Hubei, alt. 1460m, 23–30.VII 1998, collected by Yu Xiao-Dong.

Discussion. This species is relatively similar to Gymnaetoides testaceus sp. nov., but differs from the latter in: epiphallus of male genitalia rectangular, lateral corium of middle lobes of male genitalia rather long and reaching apex.
