Enterosora parietina (Klotzsch) L.E.Bishop, Syst. Bot. View in CoL 17(3): 357. 1992.

= Grammitis parietina (Klotzsch) Fée, Mém. Foug. 5[Gen. Filic.]: 233. 1852.

= Grammitis sprucei (Hook.) J.Sm., Hist. Fil. 181. 1875.

Range: — Jamaica, Hispaniola; southern Mexico to Bolivia (LP).

Ecology: —Rare, known from two Bolivian collections; epiphytic in montane forests; 2150 m.

Notes: —This is most similar to several species of Moranopteris but differs by lacking hydathodes, and by a tendency of the blade setae to cluster around and within the sori. It may also be confused with Ceradenia jungermannioides , but lacks the distinctive soral paraphyses of that species and has golden brown rhizome scales 0.5–0.8 mm long. Bauret et al. (2017) found evidence that E. parietina is not a member of the Enterosora / Zygophlebia clade; however more evidence is needed.
