Types. Holotype ♂, CHINA, Yunnan, Gongshan County, Dulongjiang Township, near San Dui , 27.71766°N, 100.26764’°E, alt. 2574m, 29 October 2004, V. F. Lee leg. ( VFL –04–0009).
Etymology. This epithet derives from the Latin adjective “ manibus ”, meaning “hand-like” and refers to the hand-like dorsal tibial apophysis in the male palp.
Diagnosis. This new species can be distinguished from all other congeners by the dorsal tibial apophysis tip with seven teeth ( Fig. 117B–D); embolus short, with pointed end ( Fig. 117A–C).
Description. Male (holotype, Fig. 118A, B View FIGURE 118 ): Total length: 2.09. Carapace 1.04 long, 0.81 wide; cephalic region slightly elevated, dark brown fovea, cervical and radial grooves distinct. Clypeus 0.17 high. Sternum longer than wide, dark brown. Labium wider than long. Maxillae long, distal end broad with scopulae. Chelicerae with four promarginal and five retromarginal teeth. Eyes: AER recurved, PER procurved, slightly wider than AER. Eye sizes and interdistances:AME 0.05, ALE 0.10, PME 0.09, PLE 0.09, AME–AME 0.02, PME–PME 0.08, AME– ALE, 0.02, PME–PLE 0.04, AME–PME 0.06, ALE–ALE 0.32, PLE–PLE 0.36, ALE–PLE contiguous. Length of legs: I 3.27 (0.97, 1.01, 0.75, 0.54), II 3.07 (0.89, 0.99, 0.73, 0.46), III 2.62 (0.75, 0.85, 0.61, 0.41), IV 3.47 (0.97, 1.13, 0.85, 0.52). Leg formula IV-I-II-III. Tm I 0.38 and Tm IV 0.26. Tibial spine formula: 2-2-1-1. Abdomen 1.27 long, 0.78 wide, oval, brown, proximal end with a light gray longitudinal band followed by six transverse light gray patches posteriorly, ventral side light brown, densely covered with fine hairs.
Palp ( Fig. 117A–D): Patella shorter than tibia, curved mesally; tibia wider than long, with one retrolateral and one dorsal trichobothria, dorsal tibial apophysis sclerotized, tip with 7 teeth in ventral view; paracymbium sclerotized, U-shaped, distal arm broad with long spine; distal suprategular apophysis sclerotized, small, tip slightly grooved, with blunt end; tegulum almost round, with membranous protegulum. Lamella characteristca sclerotized, wider than long with blunt end anteriorly, tapering towards tip, posterior end slightly curved. Embolic membrane small with serrated end. Embolus sclerotized, short, tip slightly curved with pointed end.
Female. Unknown.
