Gonatopus achterbergi Olmi 1991: 345 .

Description of Female. Apterous; length 2.8–5.3 mm. Head brown, except mandible and gena testaceous; antenna brown, except segments 6–8 and ventral side of segments 1–2 testaceous; mesosoma testaceous-reddish, except dorsal regions of pronotum and propodeum black-brown, scutellum black and anterior region of scutum darkened; metasoma brown; legs testaceous, except part of coxae, part of clubs of femora, outer side of protibia brown. Antenna clavate; antennal segments in following proportions: 9:6:20:12:10:9:7:7:5.5:8. Head excavated, shiny, unsculptured, except numerous longitudinal striae on face; frontal line complete; occipital carina absent; POL = 1.5; OL = 2; OOL = 9. Palpal formula 6/3. In specimen from Thailand, Maerim, head dull and completely granulated. Pronotum crossed by strong transverse impression, shiny, smooth and unsculptured. Scutum shiny, smooth, unsculptured, laterally with two strong pointed apophyses. Scutellum inclined, shiny, smooth, unsculptured. Mesopleuron almost completely unsculptured, with only median region transversely striate. Metapleuron unsculptured, not transversely striate. Metanotum smooth, shiny, unsculptured, hollow behind scutellum. Metathorax + propodeum shiny, with anterior surface unsculptured and posterior surface transversely striate on posterior half. Meso-metapleural suture thin, distinct and complete. Protarsal segments in following proportions: 17:3:6:22:31. Enlarged claw ( Plate 125A ) with one small subapical tooth and six–eight peg-like hairs + one hair. Segment 5 of protarsus ( Plate 125A ) with inner margin proximally not serrated and with two rows of 28–36 lamellae; distal apex with 10–13 lamellae. Tibial spurs 1/0/1.

Material examined. Type: holotype ♀: MALAYSIA: Sabah, Kinabalu National Park, Head Quarters , 1700 m, 8–11.III.1987, Malaise trap, C. Van Acherberg leg. ( RNHL) . Other material. THAILAND: Chiang Mai Prov., Maerim , 29.VIII.1995, 1♀ ( AMNH) .

Distribution. Malaysia (Sabah), Thailand (Chiang Mai).
