Common, ANIC, 1 ♀, 23°12'S, 150°46'E, 10 km SSE of Yeppoon, 8.ix.1981, leg. I. F. B. Common, SDEI. Distribution. New South Wales ( Gaedike, 1968), Queensland (first record). Bionomics. The early stages and host plants are unknown.
The genitalia structure of the following six species G. bipunctata , G. luridicapitella sp. nov., G. queenslandi , G. acacivorella , G. fuscostriata sp. nov. and G. robinsoni sp. nov. shows a characteristic similarity in the shape of valva: subapically with a rod-shaped or digital strong sclerotized process, with rounded or with pointed tip. These species are grouped into a separate species-group.
