Material studied. Holotype: “Nouméa / N. Caledonie / Delauney// Neogermalus/ Montandon type 1913 / membranaeus/ Montrouz./ det. Montandon 1913.” (♂, HNHM)
Further material: “Tahiti, Sainte Amélie, 2017. 08. 26., A vue, Leg. T. Ramage” (♀, PCTR)
Diagnosis. Ochraceous species with brownish punctures and decoration. Labial through partly closed with suture reaching base of head. Pronotal callosities fused. Arms of scutellar trifurcate carina interrupted by punctures. Corium with unique, S-shaped punctation. MTSEA with peritremal surface shortened, reduced.
Distribution. Species known as endemic to New Caledonia. This is the first case of recording it from another region.
Remarks. The occurrence of the species is suspected to be a case of human-mediated accidental introduction.
