Material studied. Holotype: “Matauuna/ Hiva Oa/ III. 4. 30/ HOLOTYPE / fuliginosus// Holotype ♀ / No. 601/ Germalus / fuliginosus/ Van Duzee” (♀ BPBM).
Diagnosis. Dark ochraceous species, dorsum with extended infuscate regions as seen on figure 2D. Thorax and abdominal segments with dark fuscous band laterally. Pronotum with an impunctate ridge between callosities. Scutellar trifurcate carina interrupted by punctures medially. Corial margin of clavus punctate at basal half. MT- SEA with evaporative area oblong, curved; ostiole drop-shaped, vestibular scar narrow but reaching almost venter. Evaporative area reaching anterodorsal angle of mesopleurite.
Distribution. Known as endemic to Marquesas Islands.
