DIAGNOSIS: This species differs from Euseius dossei (Pritchard & Baker 1962) by having shorter S2S5 and Z5, and sharptipped macrosetae. It differs from Euseius orygmus (Ueckermann & Loots 1988) by having j1 shorter than j3 and ventrianal shield proportionally wider at level of ZV2; it differs from E. zambiensis n. sp. by having the peritreme and many of the dorsal shield setae shorter.
FEMALE (3 specimens).
Dorsum Dorsal shield with few lateral striae anterolaterally to z5, 336(320352) long, 243(240246) wide, j1 31(2934), j3 38(3443), j4 9(810), j5 10, j6 11, J2 13, J5 7(6 8), z2 19(1429), z4 34(2643), z5 10(1011), Z1 13(1114), Z4 11(1114), Z5 63(5967), s4 56(5458), S2 15(1416), S4 18(1419), S5 17(1319), r3 16, R1 10(1011). All dorsal setae smooth.
Peritreme Reaching level between j3 and z2.
Venter All ventral shields smooth. Distances between ST1ST3 58(5859), ST2ST2 66(6270) and ST5ST5 71(6775). With 2 pairs of metapodal shields. Ventrianal shield 103(102104) long, 54(5156) wide at ZV2 level and 70(6774) wide at anus level.
Chelicera Movable digit 26 long, with one tooth; fixed digit 27 long with 5 teeth
Spermatheca Calyx short, 12(1013) long, with subparallel walls, constricted near atrium, which is round and proeminent.
Legs Macrosetae sharptipped: SgeII 24, SgeIII 29(2629), StiIII 26(2427), SgeIV 42(3848), StiIV 36(3438), StIV 57(4667).
TYPE MATERIAL: Holotype female, Kisumu, Kenya, on Cassia sp., 2XII89, J.S. Yaninek; one paratype female, Brazzaville, Congo, on Coffea sp., 25IX90, O. Bonato; one paratype female, Burundi, on Gmelina sp., 16VI90, P. Ndayiragje, all deposited at ESALQUSP, PiracicabaSP, Brazi.
