Diagnosis. Orange species with a black and pale yellow head, characterized by the absence of propodeal carination. Propodeum covered with coarse punctures and concentric wrinkles at apex.
Description. FEMALE (12 specimens). L: 11.6, 11.0 (10.2–12.1).
Head. Barely tapered behind eyes. Temples short and rounded. Frons shagreened. Face and clypeus densely punctate-shagreened, with sparse long white hairs; punctures confluent laterally, drawing transverse wrinkles. Clypeus subtriangular (Ci = 1.3) with a truncate apex and a strong transverse carina. Malar space short (MLMi = 0.5). Mandible slightly twisted at apex, teeth subequal. Antennae with about 60 flagellomeres.
Mesosoma . Mesonotum and all pleurae shining, moderately punctate, densely covered by fine white hairs. Speculum smooth. Propodeum densely punctate-shagreened, without any carina.
Metasoma. Shining, finely and moderately punctate, glymma shallow. Ovipositor short (OTi = 0.7).
Color. Head whitish with mandibles, frons, antenna, occiput and a median longitudinal strip on face and clypeus black. Meso- and metasoma reddish with tergites I–II and the perimeter of scutellum black. Legs dark reddish, tibiae and tarsi 1–2 paler. Wings hyaline, pterostigma black. Some specimens, collected on sakoa tree, are distinctly darker with entire metasoma, hind leg and dorsal face of mesosoma black.
MALE. L: 10.7 (10.4–11.9) (16 specimens). Similar to female.
Host records. Parasa reginula Saalmüller ( Lepidoptera : Limacodidae ) on Sclerocary caffra [marula, sakoa], P. ebenaui (Saalmüller) on Ricinus communis [castor bean, and Latoia albifrons Guérin-Méneville ( Lepidoptera : Limacodidae ) on unknown host plant.
Distribution records. Madagascar (Toliara, Fianarantsoa and Antananarivo provinces).

Complete with host cocoon. PARATYPES: 3ƤƤ and 13 ( MNHN EY 3690–3991, EY 6199–6200) Bekily, January–February 1934, March 1933; 43 ( MNHN EY 3692–3695) Ihosy, Frebruary 1933, January and February 1934; 13 ( MNHN EY 3696) Imerina, February 1933, Père Camboua coll., antennae broken. All paratypes with host cocoon. Other specimens: 4ƤƤ and 103 ( MNHN EY 6201–6214) January to March 1934, July 1933; 7ƤƤ and 43 ( MNHN EY 6215–6225) Ihosy, February to April 1933, February 1934. 8 Ƥ and 83, Bekily, February 1934 (a couple to each of the above mentioned institutions). Almost all specimens with host cocoon.
