Euphorbia neorubella Bruyns in Bruyns et al. (2006: 414) ( Figs 1–3 ).

Homotypic synonyms:— Monadenium montanum var. rubellum Bally (1959: 28) . Monadenium rubellum (P.R.O.Bally) Carter (1987: 913) .

Type:— KENYA. Machakos District, Mbuinzau Hill, 20 Jan. 1954, J. P. Glover in P. R. O. Bally E.390 ( holotype EA [ EA000000173 ]!; isotypes K [ K000237826 ]!, also in spirit 4179.000 and 62.1400)
