Distribution. Guatemala.
Reitter (1888: 229) described this species from Guatemala in Central America, together with many species from Blumenau in Brazil. Subsequent authors cited Blumenau ( Park 1942: 330; Raffray 1905: 437; Raffray 1908a: 400) or simply Brazil ( Blackwelder 1944: 96; Park 1942: 315, 323; Raffray 1911: 167). Therefore, Brazil should not be considered as part of the distribution of this species.
Metopioxys hamatus Raffray 1897: 252 (Pselaphinae) View in CoL
Distribution. Peru.
Raffray (1897: 252) described this species from “ Amazones. Cavallo Cocho [Caballo Cocha in -3.910789, -70.516081]” collected by Marc de Mathan in his first expedition to Amazon region of Peru between 1879 to 1889 ( Lamas 1980: 27). Distribution. Ecuador, Peru.
