Esox sp. — one epihyale (Nik 11 – 1/7, fig. 4, 3 View Fig ). L epihyale is 2.4 cm, width — 1.2 cm. Epihyale is similar in size and morphology to those in extant Northern pike. This species was also identified from the Early Pliocene strata of Priozernoe (RM), Kamenskoe and Kuchurgan on the territory of Southern Ukraine ( Tarashchuk, 1962).
