Biogeographic province: Transmexican Volcanic Belt. Yucatan Peninsula. Sierra Madre Oriental. Veracruzan.
Habitat: Decaying wood in a cave. Soil and guano in a cave. Leaf litter and soil of medium sub evergreen forest, lowland forest, mangrove and halophyte vegetation. Decaying trunks of Bursera simaruba and Spondias mombin .
