Type locality. WC, Stellenbosch area, Moddergat near Lynedoch.

Distribution. Known from fourteen sites in Western Cape and reported also from distant EC. WC: East proximity of Cape Peninsula, Stellenbosch area: Banhoek, Bloem Erf Farm, and Groote Drakenstein, several localities. At peninsula: Paradise Estate and Chapman's Peak Road, hillside below road. North-east of peninsula in Paarl area: Meelstrom below ‘Seilklip’ in Pearl Mts.; Wellington vicinity, 23 km from Durbanville at Wellington Road, grass and scrubs. South-east of peninsula: Somerset West: Hollandberg terrain; foothills of Helderberg, beyond Raaswater bank of stream; road to Brinksberg Farm leading to Diep Gat Gorge near Somerset, bank of the stream and native trees. Jonkershook, forest, bank of the stream. EC: Also reported from Storms River river banks, distant from other sites.
