Entomopison View in CoL is restricted to the New World tropics and contains the following 11 species: alini Antropov,1996 View in CoL , aureofaciale Strand, 1910 View in CoL , convexifrons Taschenberg, 1870 View in CoL , cooperi Menke, 1988 View in CoL , gnythos Menke, 1988 View in CoL , longicorne Menke, 1988 View in CoL , oaxaca Menke, 1988 View in CoL , pilosum F. Smith, 1873 View in CoL , sphaerophallus Menke, 1988 View in CoL , vincenti Menke, 1988 View in CoL , and wasbaueri Menke, 1988 View in CoL . I ( Menke 1988) segregated them into two species groups: the convexifrons View in CoL group and the pilosum View in CoL group. Pison alini Antropov (1996) View in CoL , belongs in the convexifrons View in CoL group. Elevation of Entomopison View in CoL to genus makes the contained species all new combinations.
