Diagnosis. Head lateral cephalic lobe subacute. Maxilla 1 palp with 9 robust setae and 1 slender seta. Maxilliped inner plate with 6 apical robust setae; outer plate with 8 embedded robust setae and 1 submarginal slender setae. Gnathopod 1 basis anterior margin cuspidate. Pereopod 3 propodus length 1.9 × width, posteroproximal margin not produced, palm obtuse, margin convex. Epimeron 3 posteroventral corner subquadrate. Uropod 3 inner ramus subequal to article 1 of outer ramus; outer ramus 2 articulate, article 2 length 1.5 × width. Telson as long as broad, length 0.9 × width.

Description of syntype female (AM P.69257). Head lateral cephalic lobe subacute, anteroventral margin concave. Antenna 1 peduncular article 3 hidden in medial view, accessory flagellum 4-articulate; primary flagellum 7-articulate. Antenna 2 flagellum 3-articulare. Mandible incisor convex, margin smooth; palp attached proximally; palp article 2 length 1.5 × article 3. Maxilla 1 inner plate with 1 apical plumose seta; outer plate with 10 setal-teeth; palp with 9 robust setae and 1 slender seta across distal margin and extending down subapical medial margin. Maxilla 2 inner plate subtriangular, smaller than outer plate; outer plate subrectangular. Maxilliped inner plate with 6 apical robust setae; outer plate with 8 embedded robust setae and 1 submarginal slender setae; palp article 4 spatulate.

Coxae 1–3 ventral margin with sparse fine setae. Gnathopod 1 simple; basis anterior margin smooth; carpus length 1.1 × width, 1.7 × propodus length; dactylus posterior margin smooth. Gnathopod 2 minutely chelate. Pereopod 3 chelate; merus length 1.1 × width, subequal to carpus length; carpus subrectangular, posterior margin as long as free proximal margin of propodus, posteroproximal margin not produced; propodus length 1.9 × width, posteroproximal margin not produced, palm obtuse, margin convex. Pereopods 5–6 basis posterior margin expanded; merus posterior margin expanded. Pereopod 7 basis posterior margin excavate distally.

Epimeron 1 posteroventral corner rounded. Epimera 2–3 posteroventral corner subquadrate. Uropod 1 with 4 lateral and 2 apical robust setae; inner ramus with 2 lateral robust setae; outer ramus with 1 lateral robust seta. Uropod 2 peduncle with 1 lateral and 2 apical robust setae; outer ramus with 2 lateral robust setae; inner ramus with 1 lateral robust seta. Uropod 3 peduncle without robust setae; inner ramus subequal to article 1 of outer ramus; outer ramus 2 articulate, article 2 length 1.5 × width. Telson as long as broad, length 0.9 × width.

Male sexually dimorphic characters. Pereopod 3 carpus posterior margin much shorter than free proximal margin of propodus; propodus posteroproximal margin produced into a lobe.

Distribution. Eastern Australia: Moolooloobah, Coffs Harbour, Western Port, Eddystone Point, Marlo, Lakes Entrance, Flinders Island, King Island, Cape Liptrap, Three Hummocks Island. South Australia: Pearson Island, Flinders Island, Tiparra Bay, Spencer Gulf, Yorke Peninsula.
