DISTRIBUTION: Angola, Benin, Botswana, Burundi, Cameroon, Chad, Central African Republic, Côte d’Ivoire, Democratic Republic Congo, Equatorial Guinea, Eswatini, Ethiopia, Ghana, Kenya, Mozambique, Nigeria, Republic of Congo, Rwanda, Sierra Leone, Somalia, South Africa, Tanzania, Uganda, Zambia, Zimbabwe.

LOCALITY IN ZAMBIA: Mazabuka [Nakambala Sugar Estates] *, in Southern Province ; Chirundu, in Lusaka Province.

LARVAL HOSTPLANT(S): This taxon is indigenous to Africa. It is a pest of sugarcane.
