Ectemnoplax xizanginensis Wang, Chen et He in Wang et al., 2006: 133 . Syn. nov.

Material. 1♀ (holotype of Ectemnoplax xizanginensis Wang, Chen et He, 2006 ), China, Xizang Prov., Motuo Beibeng, 2.II.1980, Jin Gentao, Wu Jianyi ( ZJUH) .

Biology. Unknown.

Distribution. China (Hainan, Taiwan, Xizang); Japan.

Note. The type series of E. peruliventris was collected from Taiwan, China ( Enderlein 1920); Enderlein (1920) listed only Taiwan as Watanabe (1934), Chou (1981) and Quicke et van Achterberg (1990). Since 1937 it is known from Japan ( Watanabe 1937; Maetȏ et Nakamura 1995), and You et al. (1994) and He et al. (2002) reported it from Hainan, China. The differences listed by Wang et al. (2006) for E. xizanginensis are minor and fall in the intra-specific variation, e.g., position of fore wing vein cu-a should differentiate E. xizanginensis , but the slightly postfurcal position occurs also in the lectotype of E. peruliventris . The same applies for the sculpture of metasomal tergites, the shape of the medio-basal area of the second tergite, the body colour and the black spot of the fourth tergite.
