Distribution. Until recently D. stackelbergi was only known from NW Russia ( Kovalev 1972), and the species was not included in the revision of Scandinavian Drapetis by Chvála (1975). Jonassen (1998) recorded it for the first time outside Russia from southern Norway, and it was added to the official list of Swedish Brachycera in 2016 (https://www.dyntaxa.se/), but localities have not been yet mapped in http://artfakta.artdatabanken.se. The species is not yet recorded from Finland ( Kahanpää 2014).
