General color yellow brown; antennae dark brown; pronotum with one median, longitudinal, wide dark band; elytra with subapical and sub-basal transverse, illdefined, dark stripes ( Fig. 20 View FIGURE 20 B) that are sometimes reduced. Antennae filiform, antennomere I strongly swollen in males ( Fig. 22 View FIGURE 22 A), length ratios of antennomeres I–XI 1.0: 0.3: 0.6: 0.7: 0.6: 0.6: 0.7: 0.6: 0.6: 0.6: 0.7, length to width ratios of antennomeres I–XI 2.3: 2.0: 3.4: 4.1: 3.9: 4.1: 4.6: 4.3: 4.1: 3.8: 4.4; antennomere I normal in females ( Fig. 22 View FIGURE 22 B), length ratios of antennomeres I–XI 1.0: 0.3: 0.6: 0.7: 0.7: 0.7: 0.8: 0.8: 0.8: 0.7: 0.9; length to width ratios of antennomeres I–XI 4.6: 1.8: 3.3: 4.1: 4.2: 4.3: 4.4: 4.4: 4.4: 4.2: 5.0. Elytra 1.8 x longer than wide, disc with erect setae dense and elongate, and fine punctures. Apical margin of last abdominal ventrites with two shallow incisions in males ( Fig. 22 View FIGURE 22 G); slightly medially depressed in females ( Fig. 22 View FIGURE 22 H). Penis ( Figs 22 View FIGURE 22 C–22D) slender, 8.9 x longer than wide, gradually narrowed towards apex; apex of dorsal surface with moderately deep notch, below apex of ventral surface; apex of ventral surface with shallow notch; straight in lateral view, deep notch between dorsal and ventral surface; ventral surface smooth. Internal sac with endophallic spiculae short, about 0.4 x as long as penis, main spicula recurved and with a cluster of setae at apical 1/4; two pairs of elongate spiculae at middle basally joined, apices swollen and sphere-shaped; one pair of elongate spiculae at basal 1/6, apices horn-like and curved dorsally in lateral view; one pair of oblique and short spiculae at base, apices hornlike and curved ventrally in lateral view. Gonocoxae ( Fig. 22 View FIGURE 22 E) extremely slender, 6.9 x longer than wide, sides slightly narrowed at apical 1/10; apices narrowed rounded; inner margins narrowly approximate from apex to midpoint, apex with nine setae; extremely slender from midpoint to base but abruptly widened at base. Ventrite VIII ( Fig. 22 View FIGURE 22 E) well sclerotized; spiculum elongate; apex square, apical margin truncate, with dense short setae; disc with several long setae at sides. Receptacle of spermatheca ( Fig. 22 View FIGURE 22 F) as wide as pump, narrowly separated from pump; pump strongly curved and not apically narrowed; proximal spermathecal duct elongate, shallowly projecting into receptaculum.
Color variability. Females have yellow bodies and a wide, transverse black band on the base of the elytra ( Fig. 20 View FIGURE 20 C).
