Male: Frons black, broader than high (1.5:1), sub-shining, with sparse hairs. First row of bristles convex, antials closer to antero-laterals than to each other. Second row of bristles slightly concave, all four bristles are equidistant. Postpedicels yellowish brown, rounded-oval. Arista with relative long hairs. Palp yellowish brown, 4 times as long as its width, with 5 apical bristles and 15–20 short hairs on ventral face. Thorax. Scutum yellowish brown, with sparse hairs. Scutellum yellowish brown, with 2 bristles and 2 hairs. Wing length 1.87–1.90 mm. Costal index 0.52. Costal ratios 4.88:1.63:1. Costal cilia 0.05 mm. Veins brown and membrane light grey. Halter yellow brown. Legs yellow. Fore tibia with 4–6 dorsal bristles, of which the upmost is the longest. Dorsal hair palisade of mid tibia extends 1/2 of its length. Hind tibia without isolated bristles before apical apex. Hind femur yellow, except darker at dorsal edge. Posterior face of hind femur with 12–17 peg-like bristles arranged in a cluster, which stronger upside and weaker downside. Hind coxal lobe hemisphere. Abdomen. Tergites uniformly brown, with sparse hairs. Venter and cercus yellowish brown. Terminalia brown. Body length 2.8–3.1 mm.
Holotype: ♂, Hainan Province, Jianfeng (18°43'N, 108°48'E, 700m), 19-V-2004, Guang-Chun Liu; Paratype: 2♂, Hainan Province, Jianfeng (18°43'N, 108°48'E, 800 m), 20-V-2004, Guang-Chun Liu.
Etymology. The specific epithet refers to the arrangement pattern of the peg-like bristles on posterior face of the hind femur.
Remarks. The new species is similar to D. insulana Liu, It differs from latter by having two bristles on the scutellum, a dorsal hair palisade of tibia extending 1/2 and more peg-like bristles on posterior face of hind femur.
