Culicoides (S.) ravus De Meillon, 1936

Chemical pigmentation ( Fig. 9a ). Wing surface without pigmented pattern (unspotted). Cell r2, including distal part of C vein uniformly dark.

Interference patterns ( Fig. 9b ). Dominant colours: orange, pink. Wing not defined by a particular interference colour, but coloration rich. Venation clearly marked, veins surrounded mainly by orange and pink bands.

Pigmentation weak, WIP pattern differentiated.
